Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains how we process the personal data of people who visit the website ilrifugionelvicolo.com and who contact Il Rifugio, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). It is a translation: in case of doubt the Italian version applies.
Data controller
Flavio Micozzi, Via Palestro 21, 00028 Subiaco (RM). Contact for privacy matters: ilrifugionelvicolosubiaco@gmail.com.
What data we process
- Information requests. The “Ask for information” form does not send data to a server: it prepares a message on your device and opens it in WhatsApp or in your email app. The website does not store what you type. If you decide to send the message, we receive the data you give us (for example your name, contact details, dates of stay and the content of the message).
- Direct contact. The same applies if you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or on Instagram, or if you call us.
- Technical browsing data. The website’s hosting provider may record technical data, such as the IP address and the date of the request, to keep the service running and secure.
Why we process it and on what basis
We only use the data to answer your requests and to arrange a possible stay (art. 6.1.b GDPR, pre-contractual measures taken at your request) and, if you stay with us, to meet the legal obligations of accommodation providers, such as reporting guests’ details to the public security authority and the tourist tax (art. 6.1.c GDPR). We do not use the data for marketing and we do not pass it on to third parties.
Bookings through platforms
Bookings made on Airbnb or Booking.com are handled by those platforms, which process your data according to their own privacy policies.
External services
- Map. The OpenStreetMap map is only loaded if you press “Load the map”: at that point your browser connects to the OpenStreetMap servers, according to their privacy policy.
- External links. Links to WhatsApp, Airbnb, Booking.com, Instagram and Google Maps lead to third-party services, subject to their own policies.
- Fonts. The fonts are hosted on this website: no requests are made to external services.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as needed to handle the request and any stay, and in any case for the periods required by law.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to your data, its correction or deletion, the restriction of processing, or object to processing (arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to ilrifugionelvicolosubiaco@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies
The website uses no profiling cookies and no analytics tools. The details are in the cookie policy.
